XRS25H 25mm X-ray Shutter

The Uniblitz XRS25H has been designed specifically for x-ray switching applications. The innovative platinum-iridium (PtIr) blade design allows beam extinction of 90% up to 30 keV x-ray energy (based upon the tenth value extinction of PtIr). The XRS25H is well suited for applications such as x-ray crystallography, medical x-ray imaging, etc. For 2023, the XRS25 has been upgraded (designated “XRS25H”) to significantly improve the shutter’s speed and reliability and only one drive channel now required. The XRS25H has also been upgraded with a 5-pin connector. A 501A-S7 Shutter Adapter Cable is required for use with VMM-D3, VMM-D4, D880C and any VCM-D1 purchased prior to November 2022. The 501A-S7 is not included with the purchase of a XRS Series Shutter.

Uni-stable shutter devices, like the XRS25H, require power to hold the blades in the open state. A normally open configuration of this device is available by special order. Please contact us for more information.

*The “For use in Vacuum” option will equip the shutter with encapsulated coils for vacuum levels up to 10^-10 Torr. The housing, connector, and electronic sync options cannot be selected from the product builder when “For use in Vacuum” is applied as these options are not vacuum compatible and may cause outgassing. For higher vacuum-rated applications, or questions, please contact us.
